Dancing Wheels Company and School’s Physically Integrated Dance: Past Present and Future
Dancing Wheels Company’s re-staging of a work by Agnes DeMille, performance of current works in its repertory that were choreographed by New York City-based choreographers, and commissioning and premiering of a work by choreographer David Dorfman. The Ailey Citigroup Theater, October 2017.
Making Dance is a new approach to professional creative process education at Gibney Dance. This month, David Dorfman will lead participants through process, feedback, and more. Students, with David, will utilize choreography as social and personal commentary. Work will span solo and group projects, as participants are encouraged to find compositional means for exploring subject matter they feel urgently about. Development of specific movement material and of one’s work over time will also be foregrounded as well as the notion of how to love one’s work – process and product.
All inclusive fee: $100
